Carl Mydans (1907-2004)
A native of Boston, Mydans was born in 1907 into a family of second-generation Russian immigrants. He studied journalism at Boston University, where he first learned how to take and develop photographs. Guess what, I almost missed one year anniversary of this blog which is exactly today!!
I made my first post exactly one year ago on 13th May 2012. I think I was insane back then making this blog exactly at the time when I was going all crazy over my thesis, but somehow I still managed to run this blog and finish everything in time :D

Weegee (1899-1968)
For much of his career, photographer Weegee was, in his own words, “spellbound by the mystery of murder.” His images have the air of a still from a film noir, photographed as they were usually at night and often with infrared film and flash.
